Siren is Stefan Evan Niedermeyer. And he’s a talented guy. Multi-talented. His facebook describes his sound as ‘German music with English lyrics’ – I don’t know what ‘German music’ is, but this definitely shouldn’t be just confined to the German music pigeon-hole. It sounds very worldly – I suppose you could call him a cross between Teitur and Beirut.
Stefan is half German, half Australian, he was raised in Singapore and initially his life was all about skateboarding. But lucky for us he’s turned his attention to music.
Here’s the video to his new single Buckets of Blood:
He’s now currently based in London, and has also done a song which features the brilliant Lucy Rose (recently collaborated with Bombay Bicycle Club) called The Surrender:
He recently did a live session in Marylebone, where he was filmed doing an acoustic version of Buckets of Blood:
We can’t find any info about live dates at the moment but as soon as we do we’ll let you know.
