London based, Southampton born, Pale Seas are a five piece band that write beautiful, simple pop songs. Formerly known as Netherlands, they’re debut single, Something or Nothing, is to be released in 2012.
There’s definitely a certain charm to their sound, and it reminds me a little of bands like She & Him and Beach House. I’ve got high hopes for them in 2012, and I’m hoping they can build on the buzz that’s surrounding them.
They’re playing at Notting Hill Arts Club on 8th January alongside Spring Offensive and Burning Beard. The show, put on by Communion, is sure to be a great show.
