Jack is back!
And like the Maccabees, it seems like he’s grown up and gone all serious. Don’t let that put you off though, his new song No One Lied is actually really quite good. It’s like he has calmed down and matured alongside The Maccabees but has forgotten his band. It’s just him and a guitar. And it’s beautiful. The video is directed by Dani Castro and was filmed in 1 take.
Charli XCX is gonna be big in 2012. Huge.
This song, Stay Away, is really catchy, and I supposed it can be classified under ‘dark pop’, alongside The Good Natured, an artist I featured a little while ago.
She’s on Atlantic, and will hopefully be putting more material out in 2012. She’s playing MTV Brand New for 2012, alongside Lana Del Rey and The Maccabees, probably one of the best lineups I’ve seen at Koko.
