Willy Moon is your man. When I first saw his video for ‘I Wanna Be Your Man’ I was blown away. He’s since gone on to get radio play, and I wouldn’t bet against him getting a slot on Jools Holland very soon. It’s 50s rock n roll with a twist, and it really is very cool.

Coming from New Zealand, after buying a one-way ticket to London, he’s since made waves and is gaining popularity fast. He’s releasing his debut double A single ‘I Wanna Be Your Man/She Loves Me’ in 2 Monday’s time, 12 December, and it’s sure to do fairly well in the charts, although it’s unlikely to get too high because of the competition this time of year with shitty X Factor singles and the campaign to make Nirvana No 1 for charity.

I’m really looking forward to seeing how his performance translates live, and whether it will be just him with guitar and backing track, or full band? Whatever he does, he’s definitely one for the future, and he’s not bad in present, either.
