I mentioned a band the other day called Pale Seas, and they used to be called Netherlands.
Now, continuing the dutch naming theme, is Cold Specks, with her brilliant song, Holland.
Cold Specks aka Al Spx, originally hailing from Toronto, now resides in London. Her music is very soulful, and she has a beautiful voice with a delicate course-ness to it. The sort of voice that makes you sit up and listen, especially when coupled with such graceful songwriting, as is apparent in Holland.
She’s working with producer Rob Ellis on her debut EP, which I’m sure we can expect in 2012.
